Rapper/ Producer Kanye West is the latest musician to join the musical boycott of Arizona’s new immigration laws. It’s a nice gesture but I really don’t think supporters of the immigration law are really big Kanye West fans to begin with. Other musicians and celebrities joining the boycott are Rage Against the Machine, film director Michael Moore and Cypress Hill.
In case you’ve been somewhere under a rock (with Kanye post VMAs), Arizona state legislature recently passed a law, SB1070, that require local authorities to determine a person’s immigration status if he or she is suspected of being undocumented, kinda like the days of slavery where if you were claiming to be free, you better have your papers. Way to go Kanye!
Looks like the head of G-Unit is taking acting really serious these days. 50 Cent has lost 50 pounds for his role in his upcoming movie “Things Fall Apart”. In the movie 50 Cent plays the role of a football player who’s changes when he’s diagnosed with cancer. Curtis dropped the weight courtesy of liquid diet and a 3 hr a day treadmill walk for nine weeks. Wow! I guess we’ll get to really see how serious the rapper is when we actually see his acting in the movie.

Despite 50 cent’s lackluster sales for his latest album, ‘Before I Self Destruct’, Curtis Jackson is still taking stabs at his competition.
50 Cent recently sat down with Tim Westwood and addressed Jay-Z’s earlier comments about “nobody being scared of 50 Cent”. 50 Cent, of course, took offense of Jigga’s comment and snapped back hard, citing he’s sold more records than Jay-Z worldwide and calling Jay-Z a punk.
I wonder if Jay-Z is going to hit back or if he’s still not scared of Curtis.
