If you heard the Angie Martinez interview 50 Cent did recently you know that Fifty had a lot to say about Kanye West and his “gay following”.
Well, now 50 Cent has released a statement to clear up what he really meant.
Fifty didn’t have a follow up statement to other statement he made calling Jay-Z “The coolest punk in hip hop”.
Here’s Fifty in his own words.
“During an interview with Angie Martinez yesterday, certain comments I made were taken entirely out of context. When I referred to the Lady Gaga tour as the “gay tour” I was basically repeating what I thought she had referred to the tour in the past. It was not my intention to offend anyone. I don’t have a problem with anyone’s lifestyle and have no issue with Lady Gaga, she makes great music.”
50 Cent is at it again. 50 sat down on Hot 97 and had some things to say about Kanye West and Jay-Z. 50 Cent was on a rampage this time around not only insinuating Kanye West is gay, but referring to Jay-Z as the coolest punk in hip hop. Wow. I wonder if Jigga will have something to say about 50 Cent’s comments since no one’s scared of 50 Cent.
50 also said he didn’t think Eminem knew that all the artists that were on Drake’s “Forever” track and that Slim Shady isn’t to happy about it.
Now this video starts in the middle of Common’s concert in LA on the 26th, so we’re not certain if Kanye just rushed the stage and started performing or not. This is the first time Kanye West has hit the stage since he interrupted Taylor Swift’s award acceptance told the world how he felt about Beyonce’s music video. Looks like the crowd enjoyed the reemergence of Yeezy.
Nas recently sat down for an interview after a concert in London. He was asked about what records has inspired him this year and he answered that Jay-Z’s and Raekwon’s new joints has inspired him the most.
The really weird moment in the interview aroused when the interviewer asked Nas about not appearing on Blueprint 3’s, ‘Empire State of Mind’ and Nas smiled and simply said “What’s the next question.” Not sure what to make of that, but there was a definite pause from editing in the video after he said it. So only the editor of the the video knows if there were any comments made after that, maybe like a joke or something.
He also spoke on Kanye’s behavior at the VMA’s, citing “No one can understand him but him“. Nas also talked about his new album in which he hopes to drop this year.
Jay-Z called in to the Angie Martinez show and discussed the current success of his latest album ‘Blueprint 3′ and the incident with Lil’ Mama coming out on stage.
What makes Jigga’s call in a little different this time around was his observation on how similar the Kanye West / Taylor Swift incident was similar to his incident with Lil Mama coming out on stage as he performed but treated completely different.
Jay-Z took note of how his incident was similar to the Kanye West interruption of Taylor Swift, but nobody seemed to care as much because (and these are Jigga’s words) “I actually thought it was the equivalent to what Kanye did to Taylor Swift but nobody really talked about that because I’m not a little sweet girl from the middle of America”
Now this observation is a bit different than Jay-Z’s earlier comment about Kanye just being full of “passion” and he was wrong for what he did. It now seems that from Jay-Z’s latest comments that he feels race or class might have had more to do with the exposure of Kanye’s interruption of Taylor Swift in comparison to Lil Mama coming out on stage as he performed. He may have a point, but at the end of the day millions of people out there are going to ask who the heck is Lil Mama, when everybody knows who Kanye West is.
In response to 50Cent’s comment on how he would’ve handled Kanye West if Kanye had interrupted him at the MTV VMAs, Jay-Z shot a jab at 50Cent. Just to make sure he was making himself clear, Jigga actually repeated himself. We all no 50Cent, there will definitely be a response soon.
